Background

Complementing my coaching certification, I have over 20 years’ experience in management and leadership roles in a variety of industries, including staffing, real estate, and education. I most recently served as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Development for a global workforce management company. Prior to pursuing my passion in the hiring and development space, the bulk of my experience was in leading both local and remote sales and operations teams.

While my experience spans different industries and functions, there have been a few key themes that seem to unite most of my work experience:

  • I’m drawn to organizations that are start-ups (or divisions of large organizations that operate like start-ups), so I’m able to relate to the pressures that come from wearing many hats and being asked to “do more with less.”
  • I’ve repeatedly been deployed to “turn-around” under-performing teams, so I’m sensitive to challenges of assessing operations and making tough personnel decisions in a way that feels fair and allows me to sleep at night.
  • I’ve worked closely with founders, owners and the executive suite to develop new products and strategies, so I understand the tact and confidence necessary to balance the needs of competing stakeholders and gain consensus.

When I’m not coaching and consulting you can find me practicing yoga, riding my bike, volunteering for social justice and human rights causes, or curling up with a book, a mug of tea (or a glass of wine!) and my adopted cat, Miss Moneypenny.
